That depends on what aspect of the system we are looking at.

The system is typically a powered system, thus it is wired in the sense of being powered.
The interaction between the guest room switch and the indicator/doorbell panel in the
corridor is typically via plug-and-play wire connection. If it is impossible to install a wire
between the guest room switch and the hallway panel, we have designs to avoid that wire.
Communication to the hotel network is typically wireless via ZigBee wireless mesh network
If the preferred communication to the hotel network can also be via wired RS485 connection.
Wireless and wired interfaces to other guest room control and automation systems have
been deployed successfully.
